First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study aims to confirm that the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), a common screening tool for new mothers, also works for fathers. Researchers will enroll 1,000 French fathers with babies 10 days old or younger. Participants complete questionnaires online and some also take a diagnostic interview to see if the EPDS accurately detects depression in men after childbirth.
