Freeze first, fight harder: new hope for esophageal cancer
NCT ID NCT07222657
Summary
This study is testing if freezing a tumor with liquid nitrogen before starting standard chemotherapy helps people with locally advanced esophageal cancer. Researchers want to see if this two-step approach leads to a better response and helps the body's immune system fight the cancer. About 40 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the freezing treatment plus chemotherapy or chemotherapy alone.
