Can 30 minutes of play calm kids before surgery?
NCT ID NCT07335458
Summary
This study is testing if letting children play freely for about 30 minutes before a planned surgery can reduce their fear and anxiety, and also lower their parents' anxiety. It involves 70 children aged 4-10 and their parents, who are split into two groups: one gets playtime, the other follows normal hospital routines. Researchers will measure fear and anxiety levels before and after the play session to see if it makes a difference.
