NCT ID NCT07452263
First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a short, 5-minute frailty test can predict serious complications and hospital readmissions in adults aged 70 and older who are having major planned surgery. Researchers will screen 250 participants using the modified Essential Frailty Toolset (mEFT), which checks physical function, thinking, nutrition, and anemia. If the test works well, it could help doctors identify high-risk patients earlier and plan better care.
