Can a frailty score predict survival in young, critically ill patients?

NCT ID NCT05928767

Summary

This study aims to understand if a person's level of frailty before getting sick can predict their chances of survival and recovery from severe septic shock. Researchers will follow 200 adults aged 65 or younger who are admitted to intensive care with this life-threatening condition. The goal is to see if a simple frailty score helps doctors give better information to families and make more informed decisions about the intensity of care needed.
