Frailty may predict death in young septic shock patients
NCT ID NCT05928767
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at whether being frail (measured by a simple scale) increases the risk of death in adults aged 18 to 65 admitted to intensive care for septic shock. Researchers will follow 200 patients to see if frailty is linked to death within 28 and 90 days, longer hospital stays, and worse quality of life. The goal is to help doctors and families make better decisions about care and expectations.
