Can free groceries improve kidney health?

NCT ID NCT06561412

Summary

This pilot study is testing whether providing vouchers for fruits and vegetables can help adults with chronic kidney disease who struggle to afford enough healthy food. Researchers will enroll 100 participants from Philadelphia and randomly assign half to receive bi-weekly grocery vouchers for six months. The study will measure if the vouchers improve food security, diet quality, mental health, and key kidney health markers compared to a control group.
