Will breakfast or heartburn pills change how this new drug works?
NCT ID NCT07643272
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early-stage study will enroll 24 healthy adults to find out if food or the stomach-acid-reducing drug rabeprazole changes how the body absorbs an experimental drug called HMPL-760. Participants will take HMPL-760 under different conditions (fasting, with a high-fat meal, with a light meal, or with rabeprazole) and have their blood tested. The results will guide how HMPL-760 should be taken in future studies.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
HMPL-760 (an experimental drug) and rabeprazole (a stomach acid reducer)
What this could lead to
If successful, this study will help determine how HMPL-760 should be taken (with or without food, and with or without acid-reducing drugs) in future trials.
What could go wrong
This is a very early Phase 1 study in only 24 healthy people, not patients. It is designed to measure drug levels, not to test if the drug works for any disease.
