Can a traffic light system help food pantries stock healthier shelves?

NCT ID NCT05854212

Summary

This study aims to see if adding simple green, yellow, and red nutrition labels to a food bank's online ordering system helps food pantries select healthier items. Researchers will test this by comparing ordering habits between pantries that see the labels and those that don't. The goal is to learn if this easy-to-understand system improves the overall nutritional quality of food distributed to people facing food insecurity.
