Summary

This study tested 18 healthy, trained male athletes to see if eating carbohydrates at the start or end of a pre-exercise meal changes how the body burns fat and performs during cycling. Participants ate a standard meal in two different orders on separate days, then did a 60-minute cycling test followed by a 10-kilometer time trial. The goal was to find out if meal sequence affects fat burning, blood sugar, and overall endurance.
