Scientists test if lunch changes cancer drug power

NCT ID NCT05468164

Summary

This study looked at how eating a high-fat meal or taking common heartburn medication affects how the body absorbs and processes an experimental cancer drug called selpercatinib. Researchers gave the drug to 20 healthy volunteers under different conditions to measure drug levels in the blood. The goal was to understand how food and stomach acid might change the drug's effectiveness for future cancer patients.
