First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This pilot study explores whether a common food additive (potassium sorbate) affects how much people eat. Twenty adults with obesity will receive either the additive or a placebo, and their food intake over 24 hours will be measured. The goal is to see if this type of study is feasible, not to prove any health effects yet.
