Doctors probe why heart patients process drugs differently
NCT ID NCT06324396
Summary
This study aims to understand how liver congestion and scarring affect how the body processes two common medications in children and young adults with Fontan circulation. Researchers will measure drug levels in the blood of 15 participants after they take single doses of sildenafil and pravastatin. The goal is to gather information that could help doctors prescribe safer, more effective doses for this patient group in the future.
