Brain-Zapping ultrasound tested as last hope for severe OCD

NCT ID NCT06816511

Summary

This study is testing whether focused ultrasound directed at specific brain areas can help adults with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) that hasn't improved with standard treatments. Ten participants will receive the ultrasound treatment while inside an MRI machine, allowing doctors to precisely target brain areas. Researchers will track side effects and measure changes in OCD symptoms, depression, and anxiety to see if this approach is safe and effective.
