Zap the tumor, spare the prostate: new laser study aims to avoid surgery

NCT ID NCT07339943

Summary

This study is testing a minimally invasive laser procedure for men with intermediate-risk prostate cancer. Doctors use a special, high-resolution ultrasound to guide a laser that precisely heats and destroys the tumor. The goal is to see if this targeted approach is safe and effective enough to help patients delay or avoid more invasive treatments like surgery or radiation therapy.
