Freezing prostate tumors: new study tests precision cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT05454488
Summary
This study is testing whether freezing just the cancerous part of the prostate gland can effectively control prostate cancer. Researchers will treat 30 men with intermediate-risk prostate cancer using this targeted freezing approach, then monitor them for cancer recurrence and quality of life changes. The goal is to see if this focused treatment can control cancer while potentially causing fewer side effects than treating the whole prostate.
