First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tested a special dye called fluoroethyltyrosine (FET) used in PET scans to see if it can better detect brain tumors that have come back. Researchers studied 143 people with different types of brain tumors to measure how accurate the FET PET scan is compared to standard methods. The goal is to help doctors see tumors more clearly and make better treatment decisions.
