New dye method could replace radioactive tracers in breast cancer surgery

Summary
This study tests a new way to find the first lymph node where breast cancer might spread. Instead of using a radioactive tracer, doctors use a green dye and a special camera during surgery. The goal is to make the procedure safer, easier, and more available in hospitals across the Netherlands. About 1,760 women with early breast cancer will take part.
