Glowing dye lights up oral cancer cells for surgeons

NCT ID NCT05316688

Summary

This study tested a special fluorescent dye called tozuleristide that is designed to stick to oral cancer cells. During surgery, surgeons used a special camera to see the glowing dye, which helped them better tell the difference between cancerous and healthy tissue. The trial aimed to check the dye's safety and see how well it helped surgeons remove all the cancer.
