Glow-in-the-Dark dye could help doctors spot lung cancer

NCT ID NCT06809946

First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special fluorescent dye, given before a bronchoscopy, can help doctors see lung tumors more clearly. About 20 adults with a suspicious lung nodule or lymph node will receive the dye and then undergo a bronchoscopy with a special camera. The goal is to see if the dye makes cancer cells glow, which could improve diagnosis and guide biopsies.
