Doctors test which bedside check best predicts if IV fluids will help unconscious patients
NCT ID NCT06180902
Summary
This study aims to find the most accurate bedside test to predict if unconscious patients in the ICU with low blood pressure will benefit from receiving IV fluids. Researchers will compare several common methods, like leg-raising tests and measuring vein size with ultrasound, in 222 patients. The goal is to gather better evidence to help doctors choose the right test for these vulnerable patients.
