First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a special monitor (Mostcare®) that measures blood flow continuously in children after surgery. The goal is to see if it can predict whether a child needs more fluids, compared to the standard ultrasound method. About 100 children aged 0-10 years who are on breathing machines will take part. If successful, this could help doctors give fluids more accurately and avoid complications.
