First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study watches 120 critically ill adults in the ICU to see if the amount of fluids they get in the first 48 hours is linked to acute kidney injury (AKI). Participants must not have kidney injury at the start. Doctors will track fluids, weights, and lab tests to see who develops AKI within a week. The goal is to learn how to manage fluids better to prevent kidney damage.
