Scientists create 'Safe Flu' in a nose to study virus battles
NCT ID NCT04164212
Summary
This study aimed to create a safe, controlled model of influenza infection to better understand how the body fights the virus. Researchers gave a live nasal flu vaccine to 33 healthy adults to simulate an infection. They then collected samples from participants' noses to measure the virus and the body's immune response.
