Flu shot fights cancer: doctors test direct tumor injection

NCT ID NCT06229392

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to test whether injecting seasonal flu vaccine directly into breast cancer tumors is safe. The approach was being tested in women with triple-negative or HER2-positive breast cancer who were scheduled for chemotherapy. Researchers planned to give increasing vaccine doses to small groups and monitor side effects and immune responses.
