Scientists probe why kids get better flu protection from nasal spray

NCT ID NCT06501963

Summary

This study aimed to understand why the nasal spray flu vaccine provides strong, lasting protection in children but is less effective and shorter-lasting in adults. Researchers enrolled 51 healthy adults (ages 18-49) who received the FDA-approved nasal spray vaccine and provided blood and nasal samples over one month. By comparing immune responses, the goal was to gather knowledge that could help design better flu vaccines for everyone.
