First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether getting a flu vaccine (outside flu season) can lower inflammation in the arteries of people who recently had a heart attack. About 90 adults who had a specific type of heart attack and a stent procedure will be randomly assigned to receive either the flu vaccine or a placebo. The main goal is to see if the vaccine reduces artery inflammation measured by a special CT scan 8 weeks later.
