First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study aims to learn how the immune system reacts to the flu virus and how the virus spreads. Healthy adults aged 18-49 will be intentionally infected with a lab-made H3N2 flu virus in a controlled setting. The goal is to observe mild to moderate flu symptoms and track the virus, not to test a treatment. Results will help improve future flu vaccines and treatments.
