Vaginal care system may cut repeat UTIs in menopause
NCT ID NCT05573334
First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested whether an over-the-counter vaginal hygiene system could reduce the number of urinary tract infections (UTIs) in menopausal women who get them often. The idea is that menopause changes the vaginal bacteria, making infections more likely. Eight women used the system for six months, and researchers checked their vaginal bacteria, pH, and UTI frequency. The goal was to see if improving vaginal health could lower infection rates.
