NCT ID NCT04689347
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early-phase trial is testing a combination of five chemotherapy drugs (FLIRT plus bevacizumab) as a first treatment for people with a specific type of metastatic colorectal cancer that has spread. The cancer must have a silenced MGMT gene and be microsatellite stable. The study first finds the safest dose, then checks if it helps control the cancer for at least 9 months. Only 27 people will take part.

- Active substance
- a combination of five drugs: bevacizumab, irinotecan, leucovorin, 5-fluorouracil, and temozolomide
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could offer a more effective first-line treatment option for people with a specific genetic subtype of metastatic colorectal cancer that currently has limited targeted therapies.
