Taste-Testing a new hope: flavored cancer drug trial for kids

Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new, flavored, oral version of a chemotherapy drug called irinotecan (named Orotecan®) in children and young adults whose solid tumors have come back. The main goals are to find a safe and effective dose and to see how the body processes the drug, while also checking if kids find the flavor acceptable. It combines Orotecan® with another oral drug, temozolomide, in repeated treatment cycles.
