Blink-and-It's-Done radiation trial aims to zap skin cancer with fewer side effects

NCT ID NCT07455331

Summary

This study is comparing a new, ultra-fast radiation treatment called FLASH therapy to standard radiation for common skin cancers. It aims to see if delivering the entire radiation dose in milliseconds, instead of minutes, can effectively treat the cancer while causing fewer side effects to the surrounding healthy skin. The trial will enroll about 60 adults aged 60 and older who have localized skin cancer and cannot or choose not to have surgery.
