Can a fitbit keep the doctor away? seniors test wearable tech for health

NCT ID NCT06287255

Summary

This study is testing whether giving Fitbit smartwatches to adults aged 65 and older makes it easier and more appealing for them to follow a doctor-referred exercise program. The main goal is to see if using the technology is practical and acceptable for this age group, with the hope that it will help them become more physically active. Researchers will also check if more activity leads to improvements in weight, blood pressure, stress, and other health markers.
