First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study is testing whether giving pregnant women extra fish oil (higher than usual doses) can lower the chance of their child developing asthma or persistent wheezing in the first three years of life. The researchers are enrolling 2,000 pregnant women in Denmark who have low blood levels of omega-3s. The goal is to find a simple, personalized way to prevent asthma early on.
