First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking fish oil by mouth can prevent or reduce peripheral neuropathy—nerve damage causing pain, numbness, or tingling—in people with multiple myeloma receiving the chemotherapy drug bortezomib. About 200 adults starting bortezomib for the first time will take fish oil and be monitored for nerve symptoms. The goal is to find a simple, safe way to ease this common side effect.
