First human doses given for new malaria pill

Summary

This is the first study to test a new oral drug called E1018 in people. Researchers will give single, increasing doses to 32 healthy adults to check for safety and see how the body absorbs and eliminates the drug. The goal is to gather initial data to see if the drug is safe enough for future testing in people with malaria.
