Finger length may hint at breast cancer risk, study finds
NCT ID NCT07436169
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study measured the ratio of index to ring finger length (2D:4D) in 132 women—79 with breast cancer and 53 healthy—to see if it relates to cancer status or tumor markers. Researchers used precise finger measurements and blood tests for CEA and CA 15-3. The goal was to explore finger ratios as a possible non-invasive clue to hormonal exposure and breast cancer, not to test a treatment.
