Hand training may boost swallowing recovery after stroke

Summary
This pilot study explores whether fine motor hand exercises can improve swallowing skills in older adults who recently had a stroke. About 30 participants over age 70 with swallowing problems will be enrolled. The goal is to see if activating hand and mouth brain areas together helps recovery.
