Scientists hunt for hidden genetic clues to thyroid cancer
NCT ID NCT05014698
Summary
This study aimed to discover new genes that might make people more likely to develop a common type of thyroid cancer. Researchers analyzed the complete DNA of patients with thyroid cancer and their family members to look for shared genetic patterns. The goal was to improve understanding of what causes this cancer, which could eventually help identify people at higher risk or lead to new treatments.
