First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether helping cancer patients with money and social needs (like food, housing, or transportation) can improve their treatment and well-being. About 91 newly diagnosed cancer patients who report financial hardship will receive either one-on-one financial counseling, educational materials, or usual care. Researchers will track if patients skip treatments due to cost and how their quality of life changes over 6 months.
