Cash for checks: does paying people weekly help control high blood pressure?
NCT ID NCT06195839
Summary
This small pilot study tested if giving people weekly cash payments helps them check their blood pressure at home more consistently than getting one payment at the end of the study. Researchers enrolled 50 adults with uncontrolled high blood pressure from Louisiana community health centers. They compared two groups: one received weekly cash for monitoring, and the other received a single payment after two months, to see which approach led to better monitoring habits and blood pressure control.
