Summary
This study tested whether providing small monthly grants, sometimes combined with peer mentoring, could improve mental health for transgender adults experiencing financial hardship. Researchers compared three groups receiving different combinations of financial aid and support over six months. The goal was to see if reducing material stress and increasing community connection could lower psychological distress.
