Real-world filgotinib study tracks arthritis control over 2 years
NCT ID NCT05323591
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study followed 155 French adults with moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis who were prescribed filgotinib (Jyseleca) for the first time. Over two years, researchers measured how many patients stayed on the drug and how well it controlled their disease activity. The goal was to see if filgotinib works as well in everyday clinics as it does in controlled trials.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Filgotinib (Jyseleca)
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could confirm that filgotinib works well in everyday practice for controlling rheumatoid arthritis symptoms and slowing joint damage.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a controlled trial, so results may be influenced by patient selection or other factors. It does not prove filgotinib is better than other treatments.
