New hope for kids with arthritis: experimental pill enters final testing
NCT ID NCT07554495
First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026
Summary
This study tests an oral drug called filgotinib in 65 children and teens (ages 8 to 17) with a type of arthritis that affects multiple joints. The goal is to see if the drug is safe and helps control joint inflammation and pain over 18 weeks. Participants will take the medication daily, and since this is a lifelong condition, the drug is meant to manage the disease rather than cure it.
