Scientists search for blood clues in fibromyalgia and muscle loss
NCT ID NCT07381348
Summary
This study aimed to understand the link between fibromyalgia and muscle loss (sarcopenia) by comparing blood samples. Researchers analyzed the blood of 66 women, divided into three groups: those with both conditions, those with just fibromyalgia, and healthy individuals. The goal was to find differences in blood chemicals that could lead to better understanding, diagnosis, or future treatments for these conditions.
