Fibroid location linked to changes in uterine blood flow
NCT ID NCT07186257
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study looked at how the location of uterine fibroids affects blood flow in the uterine artery. Researchers used ultrasound to measure blood flow in 185 women with fibroids and compared results based on fibroid location. They found that fibroids located within the uterine muscle (intramural) were linked to lower resistance in the artery, while other locations had different effects. The study was completed and aimed to better understand the relationship between fibroid location and blood flow.
