First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether applying an ice pack to the lower abdomen after vNOTES hysterectomy can lower pain and reduce the need for painkillers. 122 women having surgery for benign conditions will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care or standard care plus ice packs for 20 minutes every two hours during the first day after surgery. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost approach improves comfort and speeds recovery.
