Scientists hunt for hidden cancer in frozen fertility tissue
NCT ID NCT07141862
Summary
This study aims to improve the safety of fertility preservation for children with neuroblastoma or Ewing's sarcoma. Before cancer treatment, children can have ovarian or testicular tissue frozen to preserve future fertility, but there's a risk the tissue contains hidden cancer cells. Researchers are comparing two sensitive lab tests to find the best method for detecting these hidden cells in the frozen tissue.
