Scientists freeze hope for boys facing infertility from cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT06063551

Summary

This study offers a potential way to preserve fertility for young boys who must undergo cancer treatments that are very likely to cause infertility. Doctors will collect and freeze a small piece of testicular tissue from these boys before their cancer therapy begins. The frozen tissue will be stored for decades, with the hope that future medical advances could one day use it to help them father biological children.
