Can genes predict Chemo's toll on fertility? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT03731845
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether certain genes can predict how much chemotherapy damages the ovaries in young women with breast cancer. Researchers will follow 73 women aged 18-36 for five years after treatment, measuring hormone levels and egg counts. The goal is to better understand who is at higher risk for fertility problems, not to test a new treatment.
